WordPress Video Tutorial: Downloading FileZilla

Teli Adlam —  August 1, 2005

FileZilla is a free and open FTP program which can be used to upload files from your computer to your website’s host.

In order to properly set up WordPress, you will need some way to get the files you’ve configured onto your website’s host unless you do a one-click installation.

If you decide the one-click installation is best for you, having an FTP program is still helpful for uploading static pages, images, and other information which you’d like to store on your website’s host.

  2. Hello Brandon,
    FileZilla is for PC.

If you’re on a Mac, I’ve heard good things about Fetch, though it’s not free.
