Have you recovered from your sleep deprivation long enough to think about what’s in store for this year
?
New year resolutions are considered a tradition. The first day of the new year, we decide what we’d like to change, what we’d like to stay the same, do more of, do less of, so on and so forth.
It almost seems like a tradition to break those resolutions too. Within a week or two, we tend to forget that we were once resolute on losing weight, blogging more, working less, or whatever the case may be.
Wouldn’t it be a wiser solution to set goals and plan for the year ahead? Think about it.
When you make a resolution, you’re just telling yourself what you’d like to do. But what you’re not telling yourself is how you plan to do it and where you want to end up.
If your resolution is to lose weight - how much and why?
If your resolution is to blog more - how much more and when?
If your resolution is to quit your job - when, how, and why?
You get the idea.
A resolution is nothing without a plan, it’s just a promise you hope to keep with yourself.
That said, the question now becomes: what are your goals for 2006? Take the time to really think about what you want to accomplish, how you plan to do it, and when you want to do it.
You deserve it.
