Using PLR is an excellent way to get a blog off the ground. Look for high quality plr as well as content providers that are not as well known as some of the more popular ones. It will make your re-writing tasks easier.

PLR is a big help to anybody as long as you know how to make good use of it. You should not be too careless for you will be in trouble with it. But if you know just what you are doing it can do you a lot of better things.

I love PLR content - it is a great way to get instant content on your site.

Where most people make their mistake is trying to rewrite entire pieces. What works best when you need quick content is changing some words here and there, adding passages to interject your own personality, and maybe even some re-arranging.

If you are a decent writer (or employ one), you will have semi-unique content in no time.

PLR articles are only as good as what you do with them. If you use them without modification of any kind, of course you'll probably get roped for duplicate content. Frankly, there's nothing wrong with PLR content as long as you take the time to customize it -- it's not like you need to write the entire article from scratch. ;)

Great subject!

Personally I like PLR content a lot (provided you get it from the right places), simply because you can build a lot of high quality content and very informative websites and blogs even if you don't know anything about those niches. You'll even learn a lot from those articles along the way as you will probably read them too (I know I do), while re-writing or just checking the spelling etc.

I even have a Squidoo lens about Private Label Rights Articles as I have been building my VRE around PLR content for over 8 months now, and I just love it ('them')!

Thanks,
Robert

I also do not recommend PLR articles, due to content duplication policy on Google. I wrote the unbiased PLR overview at my blog .

I don't really like PLR articles. Granted they are cheaper to buy then getting original article written but the time you spend re-writing them will cost in time.

This is excellent information. There are so many "experts" out there slamming PLR content as the "lazy" webmaster's tactic. I disagree. Newspapers and other print organizations have used PLR-type content for years.
