A new version of the WordPress Auto Links plugin is here with some added features and a new name. The plugin, developed by HeadZoo, is now called aLinks (something tells me that it’s short for ‘Auto Links’) and still available to download for free.
Aside from magically finding your keywords within the WordPress post and linking them to wherever you like, it also tracks the number of clicks made with each link.
Useful? Very. Download aLinks and test it out for yourself — it really is easy to use.
The developer appears to be gone. Do you have the zip file you can pass along?

Hi Steve,
My apologies for the delayed response; I didn’t realize you’d left a comment. Unfortunately, it looks as though the developer is indeed gone and recently, my computers were stolen and subsequently recovered minus my files. I will likely post a follow-up when I’m able to find a suitable aLinks replacement.
