Cool it worked. I tried several options and this one works like a charm. Even with the new 2.5.1 version.

Hello Annamaria,
If you go to the WordPress download page, there should be two large download buttons: one says "Download .zip" and the other "Download .tar.gz".

If you're using Windows, then you'll probably want to click on the button that says "Download .zip" and the download should immediately begin. Unzip those files and follow the installation instructions.

Now, keep in mind that with WordPress.com (different than WordPress), you cannot install any plugins or theme files. To work with plugins/custom themes, you'll need your own hosting account with your own installation of WordPress.

I can't find Wordpress to download! When I go to the download page, it says download from the choices on the right--but there are no choices on the right! I have a free Wordpress blog account, but no software. I wanted to get your plugins but don't have the software to put them into it!

Hi Danny,
Installing plugins on the same way you would with a standard server installation of WP. Place the file in the wp-content/plugins folder and activate from the admin panel. :)

Because I don't know your folder structure or where you installed it on your computer, I could only venture to guess that it would be in the htdocs wherever you installed PHP/MySQL on your computer.

Hope that helps point you in the right direction,
~ Teli
