Beginning yesterday, the OptiNiche website was experiencing some major downtime, the site was inaccessible, and e-mail messages were bouncing. Due to these circumstances, I felt it prudent to move the entire website to a new web host for the time being.
If you spot anything out of the ordinary while you’re perusing the site or previous functionality doesn’t seem to be current functionality anymore, please let me know.
And no worries, a much longer entry with the details will be posted shortly, but now, must sleep. Moving was an all night endeavor!
(P.S. A bonus tutorial on how to move a blog will probably be borne of this…so there is a silver lining after all.)
Was this because of Dreamhost by any chance? All of my sites there have been down since Sunday. I’m moving mine too. The article on moving will be most helpful.

Actually I had to move away from Dreamhost late last year for a different reason.
I’m putting some finishing touches on the OptiNiche 2.0 package and trying to figure out how to get Acrobat Pro to place nice with Word 2007 (the new Office beta).
Once that’s done, I plan to move on to the tutorial. I’ll send out an update in the weekly newsletter, possibly tomorrow or Thursday.

I’ve since moved the OptiNiche website to Media Temple, however, I have a number of hosts for my websites. (That whole ‘don’t put all your eggs in one basket’ thing.)
