Last week, I held a contest for my newsletter subscribers. Originally, I had planned to open the contest to the public if I didn’t have the winners by today, however, that’s not going to happen. There were a total of three chances to win and all were snatched up within the first 48 hours that I sent the newsletter.
So you’re not all left in the dark, the contest was a scavenger hunt. I asked my newsletter subscribers to track down my new theme website and find my favorite theme of the 31 — the hint was to check the tags. I received many entries that were extremely close (i.e. they found the new theme website), however, they couldn’t find my favorite theme.
What I had done with my favorite theme was added a special tag not found on any of the other themes. The tag was fave; there was also one sentence that should have confirmed it as my favorite (i.e. my fondness for simplicity). The winners (at least two of them) found my favorite theme by doing a search for favorite and all variations of the word — clever.
Congratulations to the winners and I’ll be sending a personal e-mail to everyone who participated. ![]()
