Hi Teli,
Great report! I don’t think you discussed how Feedburner tracks stats vs. search engine optimization.. just a bit curious about this. Feedburner defaults to linking to their domain, so for example if someone uses your feed and displays your content on their site, it links back to feedburner and not your site. Feeburner says that changing the default will effect the accuracy of your stats tracking but I could care less if it means that I get links back to my site. The option to change this is in Analyze tab, under stats. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

Hi Teli Adlam,
You have done a great work, it’s an excellent blogging ebook. I think a blogging beginner really needs it. To me,when I started blogging, I didn’t know what is feed or FeedBurner. Now a new blogger can easily know how to use a feed.
Thanks guy!

Hi Teli,
I am a beginner in blogging world. I was already using FeedBurner for my blog feed. But I came to know about FeedFlare only after reading your guide. I have just added FeedFlare code in my blog. Thanks.

Definitely I’ll read this eBook to see what I’m missing. I had FeedBurner on my blog but I quit it, because I read some “bad” reviews about it.
I’ll read your eBook and reconsider my choice. And I will give away this book on my blog, for my loyal visitors.

I tried to download the pdf file on using feeds and it says the file is damaged. I really would like to see this as I am having such trouble understanding how to get my blog fed, on the feed or however its said. Could you email it to me please?

Hi Cherie,
I just tried the download link and was able to download the ebook without a problem. It may have been a temporary browser or server issue. Would you mind trying to the download again making sure to right click on the download link and selecting the ‘Save As…’ option from your browser’s menu.

Hi Teli,
In comment #6, Tate asked an interesting question about how Feedburner links back to your site.
Tate says: for example if someone uses your feed and displays your content on their site, it links back to feedburner and not your site.
I’d also be interested in your reply to this…
Thanks.

Hello Tate and Jerry,
The only time FeedBurner links back to their site — actually, it just redirects through their site — as opposed to yours is when you’ve enabled the click tracking to see how many times a specific entry was read.
If you wish to have scrapers link directly to your blog entry, then you’ll need to disable this feature (though I don’t necessarily recommend it). You must weigh the pros and cons for your particular blog before deciding what to do.

Also forgot to mention that the link value gained from those websites that scrape content in the first place is likely to be negligible when compared to proper blogs and websites. Go for quality backlinks.

Thanks for sharing it Teli, I am sure it’ll be an effective tips you got there. At the moment I am applying the strategy from 30 Minute Backlinks to gain more traffic to my site and it is pretty working that my PR really showed an improvement. And with this feedburner, I will be sharing the progress I will experience as soon as I get it.
