A few days after the recent kerfuffle in the comments on my previous post — Why You Should Reconsider How You Use Akismet — it was announced that the crew at Automattic made some tweaks to improve the usability of Akismet by making it easier to identify any legit comments.
Now, the spam comments are separated into groups: trackbacks, pingbacks, and comments. Of course, this change only affects WP.com users right now and not the general WP Akismet users at large. But, chances are you can expect to find a new version of Akismet bundled with the upcoming WP.org release.

Looks like it’s been removed from the latest trac.

Interesting Andreas. It may only be temporary though; it’s difficult to see them permanently removing Akismet from the WP.org bundle.

Let’s hope so. One never really knows but it is open to question as to wether this was coming anyway or that the dust up actually did some good. Either way I commend the action.

That is all?
I run a test a few weeks back with a new domain. I flagged it as spam and never managed to get it out from the Akismet spam database. I used other blogs I own and tagged the domain as “not spam” but no chance.
I am not sure if is possible at all…but they are still learning..yeah sure
