It was just announced that WordPress has released version 2.3.3 to take care of an urgent security problem that was found with the XMLRPC file. This is definitely not one of the “wait and see” upgrades, it’s a “scoot over there and upgrade now” upgrade. (It shouldn’t be too bad since you only need to replace the xmlrpc.php file if you don’t care so much about the minor bug fixes which are included.)
