It’s all about the color people.
The day has finally arrived…After playing around with it and letting it sit in my dev folder for a couple months, the Supr Preppy WordPress theme is now available for download.

Here’s a basic overview and gotchas:
- WordPress Compatibility: Theme tested and working with WordPress 1.5.x through 2.5.x
- Browser Compatibility: Tested and working in all current browser versions. Slight modifications made for IE6 (basically, they won’t be seeing all the awesome goodness of Supr Preppy due to its poor support for transparent PNGs)
- Widgets: There are three sidebar options under the widget management — top side, left side, and right side (should be fairly self explanatory
- WP 2.5.x features: The comments form will show avatars if you’re using WP 2.5.x and have avatars enabled
- CSS Styling: I’m still tightening up the CSS styling, so there may be elements which stand out — you can tweak them yourself, if you feel so inclined, or you can wait for an update as I receive more feedback
- Changing the Rainbow: Switching the flow of colors can be tricky if you have no idea what you’re doing. Otherwise, you can switch up the colors by tweaking the array at the top of the index.php and archive.php template files. In a future version, I may add an option panel to control this — remember, this is just the first release
There’s no live theme preview available, but if you’re snappy, you may be able to catch the theme in action on my personal blog before I change it back to its original design.
The theme is free, but please leave my designer credit in tact. (In more specific terms, this theme is released under the Creative Commons Attribution license.) If you don’t have any problems with that, please feel free to download and play around with it.
If you need support or have questions, I’ve already started a thread at the WP support forum. Otherwise, comments and feedback are always welcome.

nice!
I like the clean look of it and its good to see some bright colours. It would be cool to have an admin feature were you can change and choose your own colours with a colour picker or swatch or something….

I may add an option panel in the future to control the order of the colors. The color picker option may be out, though, due to the nature of the theme. I had to use colored images in some places and IE6 has issues, so not sure I would even have that kinda time to spend on it.

Sweet! I want to use this template, but have noticed the supr preppy title above the right column. Is there a way to remove it?

Glad you like the theme. Right now, there’s no way to remove the ‘Supr Preppy’ without an image editing program.

Grabbed me a copy of your Theme Teli. Looks like it might fit the bill for a Blog site that a close friend of mine requires.
Will have to dive under the hood and play with the color scheme to fit her needs but I don’t foresee a problem with doing that.
Thanks for the download.

looks very good, you should just give a demo for it

kiatlc,
In order to widen the column, you’ll need to modify the column background graphics. It looks as though you’re having a problem with the images in your posts–that said, it may just be easier to resize the images to be less than 500px.
