Do your trackbacks display before your comments?
Since learning that comments can be separated from pingbacks/trackbacks, many bloggers have adopted the format. However, there are some blogs which put the pingbacks/trackbacks before the comments and if you run a popular blog, this can be a pain for your readers who wish to leave their own thoughts.
Pingbacks and trackbacks reference your idea elsewhere, however, comments continue the conversation directly on your site, therefore they should receive priority. Don’t make your readers scroll for eons just to see that conversation.
Take a moment to make the switch if you find that your pingbacks/trackbacks are being displayed before your comments.

The first thing I had to do before leaving this comment was check my blog. I did not give any thought to how my pingbacks/trackbacks worked.
Though saying that I have only had a handful of them so have never really thought in great detail about them. But fingers crossed it could suddenly go ‘BOOM’ overnight
Anyways mine, at the current moment in time are interweaved with the comments. Are you saying it is best to have the comments first and then trackbacks/pingbacks or will it be ok to have them both together like I have at the moment?

I have found on my blog keeping the comments and pingbacks/trachbacks completely seperate works the best for me.

I like seeing them separated on other blogs, and I’ve been thinking about doing it one mine. I just haven’t made the time to do it, so thanks for the reminder.

I agree it is very important to keep trackbacks at the end of all comments if you even decide to show them at all. It is really annoying also when you see a page with hundreds of tracks/pings and you have to scroll forever to get to the comment box. Another great idea is to limit the ammount of tracks and ping backs on your page or add a hyperlink to the comment box.

I would be thankful beyond words if you answer this simple question for me: I get trackbacks to my own blog posts when I interlink. I get an email from WordPress and then go in and approve my own linking of my blog post to another of my own blog posts. This happens a lot because I relate my posts (as appropriate) to one another.
I don’t seem to see much content about this. Is this normal? Is there a way to separate or do automated acceptance of our own blog’s trackbacks to itself?
Thank you!

This is one of the options i have been trying to implement for quit sometime. yes it can be a pain to have to scroll through all the stuff that isnt an actual comment.
So i think i am going to look for a solution a finally get this implemented. Thanks for the reminder.
