Not too long ago, I made mention of a great new AdSense plugin called AdSense Deluxe. I’ve had a chance to test it out on one of my sites and I must admit it really is a great plugin.
It’s very easy to use and set up - literally, upload, activate, and add AdSense code blocks - however, its name betrays its true potential.
A blogmaster can use this plugin to manage a lot more than just their AdSense blocks, they can use it to add links, banners, or other useful content to their blog entries and be able to manage it from a central location.
Consider for a moment - you are an affiliate partner for a program that has a 2% conversion rate on their product and their banner has about a 5% click through rate.
If your website has 1,000 unique visitors - 50 people will click on the banner and you make a sale. Doesn’t seem like very much does it? But, what if that sale earned you $30*?
So, would you rather have a block of AdSense that will earn you $10.23, if you’re lucky, or the $30* sale?
Yes, AdSense can be a very good source of income for bloggers, but it’s not the only source of income for bloggers — blogmasters, it’s time to think outside the AdSense — be creative. With Wayne’s plugin, it’s certainly much easier for you to play around and test the waters…
*Not saying every affiliate program will earn you $30 a pop, but you get the point, right?

Thanks for the tip. I have the plugin on my site, but was still wary with the 3 ad-block rule. I think that I’ll just code AdSense into the theme and use the plug-in for my other affiliate links.
Thanks again.

You’re welcome
- glad I could inspire you to get creative with the plugin and put it to some other uses.

I am a complete newby here…What is “the 3 ad-block rule”???
# September 20th, 2005
The 3 ad block rule is Google’s guideline stating that a page can have no more than 3 adsense blocks displayed at one time.
You can read more guidelines at the AdSense Program Policies and the AdSense Terms and Conditions pages.

Thanks for the tip. I didn’t even bother to check if you could add other code in the Adsense Deluxe box other than the Adsense code.
I’ll go test it out now…

I couldn’t agree more. I think Adsense is destroying the web - I can’t stand going to websites that look interesting and seeing adsense on the home page. Makes me click off right away.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for stopping by and for your comment. However, I believe you missed my point with the post. I don’t believe AdSense is destroying the web and know it to be a viable source of income for a lot of blogmasters.
My post was simply about getting these blogmasters to expand their options and look into alternatives or compliments to using AdSense to finance their blogs.
