Things have been very quiet around here and for good reason. I’ve been busy getting all of my websites ready for this upcoming shopping season.
I started a couple of months ago by re-positioning, testing, adding content, etc., but now it’s time to step it into high gear.
In case you haven’t already heard, November is one of the busiest months of the shopping seasons and not only for offline retailers. If you’re running a website, especially product/affiliate websites, you have about a month to get it prepared for this upcoming holiday season.
Darren Rowse has stolen the words right out of my mouth by writing “Positioning Your Blog For a Profitable Christmas“.
While he has a section on getting your AdSense optimized (which is a very good idea), I find that my affiliate sales and products sales tend to bring in the most revenue so that is where I focus a majority of my time.
Whichever type of website you have, AdSense, affiliate, blog, or regular static site - get yourself in motion and start thinking of ways to get it ready for the upcoming shopping season.
